An alarm device (50) has a sensor (52), a digital data processor (54), a wireless RF communication interface (57, 58), and a user interface (53, 54). It communicates in a protocol by wirelessly transmitting messages with other devices within RF range, and which devices are also arranged to communicate according to the protocol. It stores a distribution list of all house coded devices in a network in a sequential order, and processes received acknowledge messages from other devices if they are received in pre-determined time slots determined by said sequential order. The processor includes in an acknowledge message a neighbour list of identifiers of direct communication neighbours, and the processor is configured to maintain a distribution list of identifiers of acknowledging devices included in received neighbour lists, and to determine if a repeat message is required if a neighbour list includes a device identifier not in the current distribution list.

Devices such as fire alarm devices house code to form a system in an efficient manner with less user time required. A device receives a house code message (HCM), and (102) it reads the next serial number (SN) in the message. The device checks (104) if this SN already exists in the house code table (HCT). If not, in step 105 it adds the SN and its Repeat Level value to the HCT. There is (110) an iteration for each SN in the HCM until the HCM has been fully processed. The device calculates a new signature for its HCT. Importantly, if (112) this signature value is the same as that for all of the SNs in the received HCM then house coding is complete if the user instruction is received (114). If not (114) the device generates and sends (116) a fresh HCM, and this is received by all of the other devices within RF range. There are multiple cycles until all of the signature values in the HCM which are generated are the same.

A single dose aerosol chamber (110) is used with a dispensing apparatus (100) by users to take a chamber (110), fill the chamber with an aerosolized vaccine (104), and dispose of used chambers (120). A display (103) provides instructions to encourage prompt inhalation by the user from a dispensed and filled chamber. The station allows very fast administration of vaccines to large numbers of people. The aerosol dispenser apparatus detects the chamber is in correct position and delivers a pre-determined dose of aerosol. The chamber has a nebulizer delivery port (114) optimized for delivery of aerosol into the chamber container (111) and to act as a vent during inhalation via the inhalation port (115).

A coupling part with integrated aerosol generator for use in a breathing circuit, comprising a housing (10) enclosing a cavity (V), having a first opening at a first end prepared for direct or indirect connection to a ventilator, a second opening at a second end, which is suitable for direct or indirect connection to a patient line or an endotracheal tube, wherein an aerosol generator (20) is integrated in one side of the housing and is suitable for delivering an aerosolised liquid, in particular a medicament.

An electroporation apparatus comprises a plurality of electroporation probe (26) terminals (27) and a transformer (6) for providing stepped-up voltage. Also, there is a switching circuit (7) with switches (24, 25) for linking high voltage and low voltage or ground levels to the probe terminals (26). A controller (2, 4, 5) configured to control said switches according to a control scheme to deliver pulses to the probe terminals (27), and in which said pulses are delivered to groups of at least two probe electrode terminals for probe electrodes which are spaced apart. The controller maps data defining relative physical positions of probe terminals (P1-P7) to be connected to the terminals (27) and directs pulses for applying voltages across space bounded by the probe electrodes.
