Abstract
A high efficiency DC/DC converter for supplying at least one electric component (3) connected to said DC/DC converter (1) with a constant supply voltage, wherein said DC/DC converter (1) switches to an energy saving light load operation mode if a load detection circuit of said DC/DC converter (1) detects that the load of said electric component is low.
