Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a fluid storage vessel arranged for location in a machine configured to use fluid stored in the vessel. Such vessels commonly include a fluid entry port, a fluid exit port provided with a suction pipe and a breather for equalizing the pressure in the vessel. In the event that the breather is rendered ineffective and a pressure difference is created, the vessel may very likely deform and the suction pipe may thus be damaged. The fluid storage vessel of the present disclosure is configured to deform in a controlled manner so as to restrict damage to the suction line.
