Abstract

An absorbent article (20) for personal hygiene such as a diaper or training pant, the absorbent article having a front edge (10) and a back edge (12), a longitudinal axis (80) extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, the article having a length L as measured along the longitudinal axis from the front edge to the back edge, a crotch point (C) defined as the point placed at a distance of two fifth of L from the front edge of the article on the longitudinal axis. The article comprises a pair of leg cuffs (32) with a raised section (34), and an absorbent core (28) comprising at least one channel (26, 26') at least partially oriented in the longitudinal direction (80) of the article. The article has a crotch width (Wd) before use as measured between the proximal edges of the leg cuffs at the level of the crotch point of from 70 mm to 200 mm, and a Relative Crotch Width Reduction (RCWR) of at least 30 mm per kg of absorbed fluid.
