An absorbent article (20) comprising an absorbent core (28) having a first channel and a second channel (26), each channel comprising a channel bond (27) between the core wrap top layer (45) and the core wrap bottom layer (46) characterized in that the channel bond (27, Wb) is asymmetric relative to the channel width (Wc) for at least a portion (68) of the first and second channels (26), so that, during use, the channel width preferentially shrinks on a pre-determined half (63) of the channel thus increasing the volume available for the absorbent material to swell in that pre-determined half (63) of the channel (26).

A cuboidal package comprising one or more absorbent articles is disclosed. The package encloses one or more absorbent articles. The package comprises a plurality of panels formed by at least two separate sheets. The second sheet and the first sheet form the top panel and the second sheet is attached to the first sheet such that a hinge is formed, and the top panel is at least partially reclosable via the second sheet. The top panel comprises an opening area.

Provided is a cutting element (10) for an electric shaver. The cutting element includes a substrate (12), and a film layer (18) on the substrate. A method of manufacturing a disposable absorbent article is provided. A cylinder of one or more rolls of fibrous material is provided which is partially wrapped with a polymeric covering. A zone of weakness is formed in an axial direction of the cylinder in the polymeric covering using a robot. A breaking device is provided at a temperature within 150 degrees Celsius of the melting temperature of the polymeric covering. Using the robot, a substantially uniform radially inward force is applied against the cylinder with the breaking device along the zone of weakness to rupture the zone of weakness. The method does not damage outer layers of the fibrous material. A robot is used to remove the polymeric covering from the at least one roll. The at least one roll is unwound and fed to the at least one roll into an absorbent article manufacturing line.

Absorbent articles having a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core disposed at least partially between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a pair of barrier leg cuffs is provided. Each barrier leg cuff is formed from a cuff material comprising hydrophobic cellulosic fibers.

The present disclosure is concerned with a skin treatment device having a treatment light source, a light emission window comprising a window element arranged for getting into skin contact during operation, a first sensor arranged for providing a first sensor signal indicative of an amount of hemoglobin in a skin area underneath the light emission window, and a processor coupled with the first sensor for communicating the first sensor signal in a user-perceptible manner by means of an indicator and/or for controlling a function of the skin treatment device in dependence on the first sensor signal.
