Abstract
A spool accessory (202) for a rotatable cutting head (102) of a vegetation cutting device (100) comprises: a spool (204) configured to receive a cutting line (116) wound thereon; and a spool sleeve (206) mounted to the spool (204) , the sleeve comprising a gripping arm (610) moveable between a gripping position wherein the gripping arm grips the cutting line (116) wound on the spool (204) and a release position wherein the gripping arm (610) does not engage the cutting line (116) wound on the spool (204), wherein the gripping arm (610) is configured to move from the gripping position to the release position when the cutting head (102) rotates.
