Abstract

A hinge unit (36, 60) includes a support member (37), a mount member (38) and a detachment restricting member (39, 61). The support member (37) configured to support a document pressor (33) pressing a document (S) to a document placing surface (21) openably/closably with respect to the document placing surface (21). The mount member (38) linked turnably to the support member (37) and mounted removably to the housing (2). The detachment restricting member (39, 61) whose one end part is connected to the support member (37) and including an engage part (53, 74) at another end. The detachment restricting member (39, 61) restricting the mount member (38) from being detached from the housing (2) in a case where the document pressor (33) is closed, and allowing the mount member (38) to detach from the housing (2) in a case where the document pressor (33) is opened.
