Abstract
The present invention concerns a method for offloading, by at least one home base station, a base station of a wireless cellular telecommunication network, the base station serving mobile terminals. The method comprises the steps of: - obtaining, by the base station and/or the home base stations, signal to interference plus noise ratio on signals received by the mobile terminals served by the base station from the at least one home base station, - determining, by the base station and/or the home base stations, mobile terminals which are located in the neighborhood of the home base stations, - determining, by the base station and/or the home base stations, metrics at least from the obtained signal to interference plus noise ratio, - determining, by a server of the wireless cellular telecommunication network, clusters of mobile terminals from the metrics, each cluster comprising information identifying mobile terminals which are neighbours of the same number of home base stations, - prioritizing, by the server, mobile terminals which are identified in the cluster comprising information identifying mobile terminals which are neighbours of the lowest number of home base stations and performing handover of the prioritized mobile terminals to at least one home base station.
