Abstract

A percussion instrument includes: a cylindrical shell portion (30) having an open upper surface side; and a drumhead (10) stretched to be installed on the upper surface side of the shell portion (30), wherein the drumhead (10) includes: a membrane (11, 12) formed of a membranous material, having a struck head portion (11a, 12a) configured as a striking face to be struck by a performer and an outer periphery (11b, 12b) located on an outer circumferential side of the struck head portion (11a, 12a); and an annular frame (20) formed of a resin material and having the outer periphery of the membrane (11, 12) fixed thereto, and the drumhead (10) is integrally formed by the membrane (11, 12) and the frame (20) by injection molding.
