Abstract

Provided is a connector having a double shielded construction, which connector, though simple in its configuration, can improve the EMI characteristics reliably. A connector (C) includes a contact (4) to be electrically connected to a connecting object, a first insulating member (2) having a front end portion (25) to which the connecting object is connected and a rear end portion (26) opposed to the front end portion (25), the first insulating member (2) holding the contact (4), a first metal member (3) covering the first insulating member (2), a second insulating member (1) holding the first metal member (3), and a second metal member (5) covering the first metal member (3) and the second insulating member (1). The first metal member (3) forms a bulging portion (35) which bulges outwards from an outer face of the rear end portion (26), thus being in contact with the second metal member (5).
