Abstract
Embodiments relate to a concept for a wireless communication system. The wireless communication may use multiple access schemes for a plurality of wireless users. The concept includes observing (210) at least one radio link characteristic for at least one of the plurality of wireless users, and, based on the at least one observed radio link characteristic, switching (220) between Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Interleave Division Multiple Access (IDMA) as the multiple access scheme for the at least one wireless user.
