Abstract

A method for determining a channel in a wireless network comprising a plurality of access points operable on a plurality of channels: sensing for at least one channel of said plurality of channels a number of operating access points of said plurality of access points operating respectively on said at least one channel; determining for each operating access point of said number of operating access points interference information pertaining to at least one interference indicator for said operating access point, Received Signal Strength Information, RSSI; determining whether or not to overwrite a stored interference information based on said at least one stored interference information and the determined interference information, and doing so when there is no sufficient storing space available and the measured interference value is higher than the stored value; determining a channel of said plurality of channels based on at least a part of the interference information stored in said memory storage.
