Abstract
A method of manufacturing an aluminum tank that provides an allowance in dimensional management of members that form a fuel tank while welding accuracy can be improved is provided. The method of manufacturing an aluminum fuel tank includes steps of forming a first panel, forming a second panel, combining, and welding. In the combining step, when the first panel (41) and the second panel (61) are combined with each other, a first flange (43) and a second flange (63) are opposed so that an edge of the second flange (63) has an excess part (78) that projects beyond an edge of the first flange (43). In the welding step, the edge of the first flange (43) and the edge of the second flange (63) are welded together.
