Abstract

A battery pack (10) is provided. The battery pack includes battery modules (20), thermal diffusing plates (22), a first chamber (40), a second chamber (50), and a heater (35). The battery modules (20) include adjacent battery modules (20), and each of the battery modules (20) includes batteries (21). The thermal diffusing plates (22) hold the cylindrical batteries (21). Cooling air to cool each of the batteries (21) can be introduced into the first chamber (40). The second chamber (50) is provided in outer spaces of the battery modules (20). At least part of a wall of the second chamber (50) is configured by the respective thermal diffusing plates (22) of the adjacent battery modules (20). The heater (35) is disposed in the second chamber (50), and faces the respective thermal diffusing plates (22) of the adjacent battery modules (20) across a predetermined distance.
