Abstract

A method for certifying the identity of a second user (USER2) using an identification server (SERV). The method comprises: - a reception step in which the identification server (SERV) receives, from a first device (DEV1) belonging to a first user (USER1), identification data (DAT2) regarding the second user (USER2), - a comparison step in which the identification server (SERV) compares the identification data (DAT2) with certified identities (CI) contained in an identity database (DB) of the identification server (SERV), - a processing step in which, when the identification data (DAT2) received is determined by the identification server (SERV) to match a certified identity (CI) of the identity database (DB), the identification server (SERV) retrieves information (INF<DEV3>) regarding a third device (DEV3) belonging to a person corresponding to said certified identity (CI), said information (INF<DEV3>) regarding the third device (DEV3) being stored in the identity database (DV), and - a generation step in which the identification server (SERV) generates an identification code (COD) and sends said identification code (COD) to both the first device (DEV1) and the third device (DEV3).
