Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrical connector system, wherein the electrical connector system comprises at least a connector housing 100 having a shield cavity 130 formed therein; at least one shielding sleeve 200, adapted to be installed at least partially within the shield cavity 130, wherein the shielding sleeve 200 comprises at least one contact lance 210 provided with a spring portion 212 and a contact portion 211, wherein in an uninstalled state the spring portion 212 extends radially outward from the shielding sleeve 200, and the contact portion 211 extends radially inward into the shielding sleeve 200; and wherein the connector system comprises further at least one wedge element 300, adapted to surround at least parts of the shielding sleeve 200 and to bend the at least one contact lance 210 inwardly when the wedge element 300 is installed.
