Abstract
A winter tire 1 includes a tread portion 2 having a ground contact surface. The ground contact surface is provided with a recess 10. The recess is provided with a hole 15 for fixing a stud pin 9 and the resecess is provided with at least one projection 20 is extending radially outwardly from the bottom surface of the recess and the projection is arranged within the recess at a location apart from the hole.
