Abstract

A fixation apparatus (50) includes a first belt (51) without end, a second belt (52) without end which is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the first belt (51), a pressurization member (53) which is provided inside the first belt (51) and pressurizes a portion of contact between the first belt (51) and the second belt (52) toward the second belt (52), a drive roller (54) which is provided inside the second belt (52) along the portion of contact and rotationally drives the second belt (52), and a heating unit (56) which heats at least one of the first belt (51) and the second belt (52) and provides heat to a transfer target medium passing through the portion of contact. The drive roller (54) is in contact with both of the first belt (51) and the second belt (52).
