Abstract
The invention concerns a method and corresponding device, the method comprising: testing, at a host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24), for at least one predetermined path between the host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24) and a predetermined network node (G), if an alternative predetermined path between the host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24) and the predetermined network node (G) exists, determining, at the host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24) of, information regarding reliability of the availability of the host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24) based on the result of the test. The invention further concerns a corresponding method and device, the further method comprising: receiving information, originating at least at one host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24), regarding reliability of at least one path between a predetermined network node (G) and the at least one host (Host 20, Host 22, Host 24), determining information regarding reliability of the availability of an application deployed in the network based on the received information.
