Abstract

The invention relates to a method for providing a user plane address for at least one mobile transceiver (200) in a mobile communication system (300) further comprising at least one mobile communication system infrastructure entity (100) configured to communicate with the at least one mobile transceiver (200) via a user plane communication channel (320), the mobile transceiver (200) being controlled via a control plane communication channel (310) and comprising one or more, preferably a plurality of, network interfaces (NI1, NI2), the method comprising: obtaining (12) a control plane address for the at least one mobile transceiver (200), determining (14), for at least one of said network interfaces (NI1), a respective user plane address associated with said at least one network interface (NI1) for the at least one mobile transceiver (200) depending on said control plane address and a network interface identifier, NIID, characterizing said at least one network interface (NI1), and providing (16) said user plane address.
