Abstract

Joining apparatus (10) for joining a joining element (50) onto a workpiece (56), comprising a joining head (12) and a joining element holder (40) which is fixed to the joining head (12) by means of a fastening device (58) and is configured to hold a joining element (50) such that it can be axially joined onto the workpiece (56). The fastening device (58) here has a radial clamping ring (60), which presses the joining element holder (40) radially against a joining head collar (86) of the joining head (12).
