Abstract

The invention refers to a battery module (50), comprising a plurality of battery cells (2) and a plurality of temperature sensors (30). Thereby, several temperature sensors (30) are connected electrically in a first sensor unit (31), and several temperature sensors (30) are connected electrically in a second sensor unit (32), and a resistance of the first sensor unit (31) is measurable separately from a resistance of the second sensor unit (32). The invention also refers to a method for monitoring a battery module (50), comprising a plurality of battery cells (2) and a plurality of temperature sensors (30), wherein several temperature sensors (30) are connected electrically in a first sensor unit (31), and several temperature sensors (30) are connected electrically in a second sensor unit (32), whereat a resistance of the first sensor unit (31) is measured separately from a resistance of the second sensor unit (32).
