Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a water heating system capable of reducing the frequency of maintenance of a heat exchanger required because of scale. The present invention provides a heat exchanger (23) including a plurality of heat exchange units (31, 32) which are separated from each other in a predetermined direction and are connected to each other in series. The total cross-sectional area of a water flow channel of the first heat exchange unit (31) cut along a plane orthogonal to a direction in which water flows is smaller than a total cross-sectional area of a water flow channel of the second heat exchange unit (32) cut along a plane orthogonal to the direction in which water flows.
