A disclosed information processing apparatus (102) includes an acquisition unit (134) configured to acquire information including a vertical position in a direction of an object, a position in a horizontal direction of the object, and a position in a depth direction of the object that are associated with one another, a type determination unit (142) configured to determine a type of the object based on the information acquired by the acquisition unit (134), a position determination unit (143)configured to determine a position of the object by a method corresponding to the type of the object determined by the type determination unit (142), and a tracking unit (144) configured to track the object based on the position of the object determined by the position determination unit (143).
