Über die Kanzlei
SSM Sandmair Patentanwälte wurde 1896 in Berlin von Bernhard Bomborn gegründet und verlegte ihren Sitz nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg nach München, bevor die Kanzlei 2018 ihren heutigen Namen erhielt. Seit der Gründung begleitet sie Mandanten nicht nur bei Patenten, sondern auch im Markenrecht sowie in Gutachten- und Rechercheaufgaben und vor Gericht. Mit Mandantenbeziehungen, die teils Jahrzehnte zurückreichen, darunter eine seit 1967 bestehende Verbindung zum japanischen Konzern Ricoh, positioniert sich die Kanzlei als langfristiger Partner für maßgeschneiderten Schutz geistigen Eigentums. A sheet handling apparatus includes: a first storage unit configured to store sheets by sequentially winding the sheets with a first tape onto a first drum; and a controller configured to cause the first storage unit to selectively execute a first mode in which the sheets are stored by winding the sheets onto the first drum such that an interval between the sequentially wound sheets becomes less than a circumferential length of the first drum, and a second mode in which only the first tape is wound onto the first drum over the circumferential length of the first drum or more. The controller changes a parameter for winding the first tape to be wound onto the first drum according to a predetermined condition in the second mode. The first storage unit winds the first tape according to the parameter in the second mode. |

Provided are a sheet recognition unit, a sheet handling device, a sheet recognition method, and a sheet recognition program capable of discriminating various photoluminescent inks and reducing a time required for the arithmetic processing. A sheet recognition unit that recognizes a sheet on which a photoluminescent ink is printed includes a light source capable of emitting at least excitation light, a light receiving unit including a plurality of light receiving elements, a storage unit that stores a coefficient based on reference data acquired by emitting the excitation light to a reference medium and a feature amount related to the photoluminescent ink associated with the reference data, the coefficient being calculated as a least squares solution with which an error is minimum, and an estimated value calculation unit that calculates an estimated value of the feature amount in the sheet to be recognized, using detection data acquired by the light receiving unit receiving light emitted from the sheet to be recognized, the sheet being irradiated with the excitation light from the light source, and the coefficient. |

Zusammenfassung
Disclosed is a computer-implemented methods of determining the position of an image representation of an anatomical structure having a movement pattern which is similar to a movement pattern of a target structure considered for radiation treatment. The disclosed methods encompass, in one aspect, acquiring a planning computed x-ray tomography of a patient including an image representation of a target structure, such as a tumour, which is subject to movement, reading information describing which describes an anatomical structure which moves together with the tumour in a similar movement pattern, and determining, from the planning computed x-ray tomography a synthesized two-dimensional radiography including an image representation of the tumour and the anatomical structure. The image representation of the anatomical structure can be used as a surrogate, i.e. a proxy, for the image representation of the target structure, i.e. the image representation of the anatomical similarity structure is used for tracking the position of the target structure when matching the tracking reference image with a patient tracking image which shows the live position and/or motion of the anatomical similarity structure but in which the target structure might be of inferior visibility, for example might be occluded. The anatomical similarity structure can be determined using an atlas such as a dynamic atlas or an accordingly configured trained trainable algorithm. The tracking result, i.e. the result of comparing the actual position of the tumour to the planned position of the tumour, can be used for controlling a radiation treatment device. |

An image reading device includes a target detection unit (81), a maximum size setting unit (301), a reading area setting unit (302), and an image reading unit (303). The target detection unit (81) detects a leading edge of an object of multiple objects conveyed in a conveyance direction. The maximum size setting unit (301) sets a maximum size of the multiple objects including a maximum width and a maximum length. The reading area setting unit (302) determines and sets an entire reading length of a reading area in the object in the conveyance direction in accordance with the maximum size; and determines and sets an extended reading length of an extended portion of the object in the conveyance direction, the extended portion being disposed downstream of the leading edge of the object, detected by the target detection unit (81), in the conveyance direction. The image reading unit (303) starts reading, an image on the extended portion in the object, at an extended position downstream of the leading edge by the extended reading length in the conveyance direction; and terminates reading the image on the object when a reading length that has been read reaches the entire reading length of the reading area. |
