Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and a communication system for providing information to a mobile device (UE) operated in a mobile radio network forming a service area having a cellular network structure composed of radio cells, whereby an information item to be provided to the mobile device (UE) for reproduction and/or usage by the mobile device (UE) is encoded with a specific key (MAC) on side of the mobile radio network, the encoded information item is transmitted from the mobile radio network to the mobile device (UE) via a broadcast channel (BCH) used within at least one radio cell of the mobile radio network, the information item received by the mobile device (UE) from the radio cell of the mobile radio network via the broadcast channel (BCH) is decoded on side of the mobile device (UE) by using the specific key (MAC), whereby the specific key (MAC) is provided to the mobile device (UE) from the mobile radio network when the mobile device (UE) connects a radio cell of the mobile radio network for the first time or during a handover from one radio cell of the mobile radio network to another radio cell of the mobile radio network. The present invention further relates to a mobile radio network forming a service area having a cellular network structure composed of radio cells which for providing information to a mobile device (UE) operated in the mobile radio network is designed and/or adapted to execute the method steps of the mobile radio network of a method according to the present invention. The present invention further relates to a mobile device (UE) operated respectively operate-able in a mobile radio network forming a service area having a cellular network structure composed of radio cells which for providing information from the mobile radio network to the mobile device (UE) is designed and/or adapted to execute the method steps of the mobile device (UE) of a method according to the present invention.
