Abstract
The invention refers to an operating apparatus arranged to operate one or more lighting devices, wherein the operating apparatus comprises: a transformer comprising a primary side and a secondary side, wherein electrical energy is transferred from the primary side to the secondary side of the transformer for operating the one or more lighting devices; a charger arranged on the secondary side of the transformer and configured to charge an energy storage device with the electrical energy, transferred from the primary side to the secondary side of the transformer; a lighting device driver arranged on the secondary side of the transformer and configured to deliver to the one or more lighting devices the electrical energy, transferred from the primary side to the secondary side of the transformer.
