Abstract

A sliding member of a compressor is provided which reciprocates in a refrigerant atmosphere and is resistant to abrasion even in an area where a sliding speed becomes slower, thereby having excellent durability. That is, as a sliding member (4) which is incorporated in a compressor, such as a key member of an Oldham's coupling, a sliding member having a coating (11) formed on the surface of a body (10) made of light metal or an alloy thereof and having a Vickers hardness value of 500 or more is adopted.
