Abstract
According to an arrangement, a quantum communication device (20) is adapted to correct first sift key data (203) acquired by performing sift processing with respect to a quantum bit string (201) received from a transmission device (10) via a quantum communication path (1). The quantum communication device (20) includes a determination unit (25) and a correction unit (26). The determination unit (25) determines setting information (207) of error correction on the first sift key data (203) from an estimated error rate (204) of the first sift key data (203) and a margin (206) of the estimated error rate (204). The correction unit (26) generates corrected key data (208) by performing the error correction with the setting information (207).
