Abstract

A communication device is described comprising a communication subsystem, an application processor configured to execute an application, wherein executing the application comprises generating, in accordance with the application, values of communication parameters for the communication subsystem and a controller configured to receive the communication parameters from the application processor, determine a geographic location of the communication device and check whether the values of the communication parameters are valid with regard to local regulations effective for the geographic location and control the communication subsystem in accordance with the values of the communication parameters based on whether the values of the communication parameters are valid with regard to the local regulations.
