Abstract
The invention relates to a synchronization device (22) for synchronizing on a received signal (RS). The synchronization device (22) comprises: an auto-correlator (31) for determining for each of consecutive positions of the received signal (RS) an auto-correlation value (NAC) representing the auto-correlation between a portion of the received signal (RS) and a corresponding portion of a delayed version of the received signal (RS); a threshold comperator (33) for determining for each of a plurality of pre-defined threshold values ( X 1 , X 2 , ..., X N ) a reach position of the received signal (RS) at which the corresponding auto-correlation value (NAC) reaches the pre-defined threshold value ( X 1 , X 2 , ..., X N ); and a synchronizer (34) for synchronizing on the received signal (RS) based on a relation between the reach positions.
