Abstract

Provided are a rubber composition that allows wear resistance to be improved, and a pneumatic tire using the same.A rubber composition, for a tire, according to the present invention includes: a rubber component that contains a first styrene butadiene rubber having a weight-average molecular weight of not less than 1000000, a second styrene butadiene rubber having a weight-average molecular weight of not less than 100000 and not greater than 400000, and a butadiene rubber having a weight-average molecular weight of not less than 400000 and not greater than 1000000; an oil having an aromatic hydrocarbon content of not less than 20% by mass; a sulfenamide-based vulcanization accelerator; a guanidine-based vulcanization accelerator; and a thiazole-based vulcanization accelerator, and a content of the oil is not less than 10 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
