Abstract
A vacuum pumping system (100) comprises an oil-lubricated vacuum pump (20), comprising a stationary pump stator and a rotatable pump rotor (23), and a motor (30), comprising a stationary motor stator (32) and a rotatable motor rotor (33) cooperating with each other for driving in rotation the pump rotor (23). The motor (30) further comprises an oil-tight unit (50) consisting of a metal jacket enclosing the motor rotor (33) and forming a container intended to collect and keep inside the motor (30) any oil leaking from the pump (20).
