Abstract
An optical test strip (110), a method and a kit (128) for measuring an analyte concentration in a sample (112) of bodily fluid are disclosed. The optical test strip (119) comprising:a) a test strip carrier (114) having at least one transparent area (116);b) a test field (118), wherein the test field (118):- comprises at least one carrier foil (120), wherein the carrier foil (120) is applied to the test strip carrier (114) and at least partially covers the transparent area (116) of the test strip carrier (114);- comprises at least one test chemical (122) applied to the carrier foil (120), the test chemical (122) being configured for performing an optically detectable detection reaction with the analyte, wherein the test chemical (122) is further configured for at least partially absorbing light having at least one absorption wavelength λabs(144) in the range 650 nm < λabs≤ 1100 nm; and- comprises at least one porous material (124) for at least partially filtering out solid components contained in the sample (112);wherein the carrier foil (120) has at least one wavelength filter component (121) which is adapted to essentially block light having wavelengths λblc(146) of λblc≤ WLlow, with 550 nm ≤ WLlow≤ 650 nm.
