Abstract

Device and method for configuring of a monitoring device for monitoring a streaming or broadcast service. A threshold value for monitoring a streaming or broadcast service is dynamically adapted. For this purpose, a streaming or broadcast service is analyzed to determine a distribution of an error parameter over the time. Based on the determined distribution of the error parameter an appropriate threshold value of the error value is determined for monitoring the streaming or broadcast service. The threshold value is determined separately for each type of the streaming or broadcast service.
