An aircraft management system (101) and method includes a flight plan diversion prediction system (114) including a rerouting control unit (108) that is configured to generate one or more reroute options (214, 216, 218) for an aircraft (104) based on an analysis of a current position of the aircraft (104), a predicted future position of the aircraft (104), a current position of an in-flight hazard, and a predicted future position of the in-flight hazard.
