Abstract

A projection display apparatus (110) includes a first operating mode, a second operating mode, a processing circuit (111), a control circuit (114), an imaging device (112) and a shifting device (115). The processing circuit (111) receives an input video signal (VI1), the input video signal includes an input video feature, the control circuit (114) selectively switches the projection display apparatus (110) to the first operating mode or the second operating mode according to the input video feature or the operating condition, the processing circuit (111) converts, in the first operating mode, the input video signal (VI1) into a first drive output video signal (VDO1), the imaging device (112) receives, in the first operating mode, the first drive output video signal (VDO1) and outputs a first output video image (VF1), the processing circuit (111) converts, in the second operating mode, the input video signal (VI1) into a second drive output video signal (VDO2), and the imaging device (112) receives, in the second operating mode, the second drive output video signal (VDO2) and outputs a second output video image (VF2).
