Abstract
Airfoils (46) including a plurality of nozzles and venturi. The airfoils (46) may include a body including an inner wall (344) defining a high pressure fluid chamber (104), and a plurality of high pressure nozzles (330) extending through the inner wall (344). Each high pressure nozzle (330) may be in fluid communication with the high pressure fluid chamber (104). The airfoil (42) body may also include an intermediate wall (318, 346) positioned adjacent to and surrounding the inner wall (344) to define a low pressure fluid chamber (324) formed between the intermediate wall (318, 346) and the inner wall (344), and a plurality of low pressure venturi (332) extending through the intermediate wall (318, 346). Each low pressure venturi (332) may be in fluid communication with the low pressure fluid chamber (324). Additionally, the airfoil body may include an outer wall (320) positioned adjacent to and surrounding the intermediate wall (318, 346) to define a cooling channel (142, 242) formed between the intermediate wall (318, 346) and the outer wall (320).
