Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method of monitoring Local Interconnect Network (LIN) nodes (100, 110, 120) and a monitoring device (200) performing the method.In an aspect a method of a monitoring device (200) of monitoring a plurality of LIN buses (105, 115, 125) is provided, wherein at least one LIN node (100, 110, 120) is connected to each LIN bus (105, 115, 125), said plurality of LIN buses (105, 115, 125) being interconnected via the monitoring device (200). The method comprises detecting (S101), for each LIN bus (105), any dominant data being sent over said each LIN bus (105) by a LIN node (100) connected to said each LIN bus (105) and routing (S102) said any dominant data received by the monitoring device (200) over said each LIN bus (105) to all remaining LIN buses (115, 125) without overwriting any dominant data sent over the remaining LIN buses (115, 125).
