Abstract

The present invention provides heavy duty tires having improved overall performance in terms of ice performance and abrasion resistance. Included is a heavy duty tire including a tread, the tread containing an isoprene-based rubber, a polybutadiene rubber, and a resin, the tread showing a tan δ versus temperature curve with a tan δ peak in the temperature range of -70°C to -20°C, wherein the tan δ at the peak and the half-width of the peak satisfy the relationship (1) below, the tread having a surface roughness after abrasion of 5.5 or more, (the tan δ at the peak in the temperature range of -70°C to -20°C)/(the half-width of the peak) ≥ 0.021 (1).
