Abstract

The invention relates to a bolt head for a firearm having a bolt head axis (28) and a plurality of locking lugs 7, wherein at least two recesses 50 having a radius 34, measured with respect to the bolt head axis 28, are formed on the bolt head between at least two adjacent locking lugs 7. To improve the guidance of the bolt head, the invention provides that at least two centering ramps 18, which are designed obliquely to the bolt head axis 28 and protrude in the axial direction toward the rear up to a central radius 35 that is greater than the radius 34, for self-centering the bolt head 2 during the bolt process are formed in the region of recesses 50.
