Abstract

Provided is a wind power generator that can make an improvement for achieving both a sufficient amount of power generation and reduction of the load acting on the wind power generator. A wind power generator (1) has a normal operation mode and a low-load operation mode, and operates in the low-load operation mode when wind condition data exceeds a threshold of transitioning from the normal operation mode to the low-load operation mode, wherein once the wind condition data exceeds a normal transition threshold and a transition from the normal operation mode to the low-load operation mode occurs, the transition threshold is reduced for a predetermined period of time.
