Abstract
A hydraulic system (52) for operating a rear gate (32) of a baler implement (20) includes a hydraulic cylinder (68) having a housing (106) that defines an interior (108), and a piston (110) that is moveably disposed within the interior (108) of the housing (106). The housing (106) includes a first fluid port (74) and a second fluid port (76), each disposed in fluid communication with a first fluid volume (112) of the hydraulic cylinder (68). A flow rate control valve is moveable between a first position for directing fluid to or from the first fluid port (74) at a first flow rate, and a second position for directing fluid to or from the second fluid port (76) at a second flow rate. The second flow rate is different than the first flow rate.
