Abstract

A solar panel (100) includes a substrate (150). The substrate (150) includes a front portion (152) and a back portion (154) that are bonded together. The front portion (152) includes an electrical insulation layer (110) and a front face sheet layer (120) that is bonded to the electrical insulation layer (110). The back portion (154) includes a honeycomb core layer (130) and a back face sheet layer (140) that is bonded to the honeycomb core layer (130). A channel (132) is defined in the honeycomb core layer (130). The solar panel (100) also includes a first wire (170) that is positioned at least partially in the channel (132).
