Abstract

The application relates to battery internal resistance detection device (1) and method for power conversion device (2). The detection device (1) includes a data acquisition module (4) for acquiring a battery voltage and a battery current to obtain a DC voltage, an AC voltage, a DC current and an AC current, a first calculation module (5) for receiving the AC current and the AC voltage at a certain instant to output a first internal resistance value (Ri) and a battery capacitance (Cbat), a second calculation module (6) for receiving a plurality of DC currents (I<sub>dc1</sub>, I<sub>dc</sub>•••) and a plurality of DC voltages (U<sub>dc1</sub>, U<sub>dc2</sub>•••) at multiple instants and the battery capacitance (C<sub>bat</sub>) to output a second internal resistance value (R<sub>2</sub>), and a selection module (7) for receiving the first and second internal resistance value (R<sub>1</sub>, R<sub>2</sub>) and selecting one of the first and second internal resistance value (R<sub>1</sub>, R<sub>2</sub>) as battery internal resistance value. The application improves detection accuracy of battery internal resistance by combining DC and AC algorithms.
