Abstract

The disclosure relates to a vehicle control system (100) for providing information to support an overtaking maneuver by a first vehicle (1), the vehicle control system (100) comprises: a processing circuitry (102a,102b,102c) adapted to be operatively connected to a traffic view camera (12a-12h) and configured to: receive image data of at least one other vehicle in traffic by the traffic view camera (12a-12h); determine, based on the image data of the at least one other vehicle in traffic, overtaking support data indicative of at least one gap (G1,G2) in the traffic suitable for an overtaking maneuver; and provide the overtaking support data to the first vehicle (1) for supporting an overtaking maneuver by the first vehicle (1). The disclosure further relates to a method for providing information to support an overtaking maneuver by a first vehicle (1) and a processing circuitry program product (500).
