Abstract
In a method for inspecting the insulation property of a secondary battery (1) by connecting an external DC power supply (EP) to the secondary battery (1) charged with an initial charge amount (Q0) and evaluating the insulation property of the secondary battery (1) based on a converging state of a power-supply current (I), when a charge amount (Q) at which an inclination (α(Q)) of a tangent to a charge amount - battery voltage curve (CL) representing a relationship between the charge amount (Q) and a battery voltage (V) of the secondary battery (1) is smallest is assumed as a minimum-inclination charge amount (QL), and the inclination (α(Q)) of the tangent at the minimum-inclination charge amount (QL) is assumed as a minimum inclination (αL), the initial charge amount (Q0) is selected from a range of the charge amount (Q) in which the inclination (α(Q)) is two or more times the minimum inclination (αL).
