Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a battery assembly (100) for a vehicle comprising a pair of longitudinally extending frame rails (102), the battery assembly comprising a first (104) and a second (106) vehicle battery module, the first vehicle battery module (104) being stacked vertically on top of the second vehicle battery (106), wherein the battery assembly is configured to be connected to the vehicle vertically below the frame rails (102) by attaching an upper surface (114) of the first vehicle battery module (104) to a horizontally extending portion (112) of a pair of brackets (108), the pair of brackets being attachable to a respective one of the longitudinally extending frame rails (102).
