Abstract

A power tool (10) comprising: a housing (12); a motor (20) disposed in the housing (12); an output spindle (22) extending outward from the housing (12) and configured to be rotationally driven by the motor (20); a keyed chuck (26) coupled to the output spindle (22) for rotation with the output spindle (22); a chuck key holder (76) configured to releasably retain a chuck key (40) having a first shaft (42) with a key disposed thereon for operating the chuck, and a second shaft (54) coupled to first shaft (42) generally perpendicular to the first shaft (42), the second shaft (54) including a lever portion, wherein the chuck key holder (76) includes a first recess (88) configured to receive the first shaft (42) and a second recess (90) with a sheath (99) configured to receive the second shaft (54) with the lever portion exposed from the sheath (99).
