Abstract
A system and method for measuring response of structures are disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of time-synchronized sensors configured to measure a structural response signal of a given location of a structure, the plurality of time-synchronized sensors being placed on a same rigid plate with all their axes aligned in a same direction to measure the same structural response signal; at least one multiplexor operatively connected to the plurality of time-synchronized sensors and configured to synchronize the measurements thereof and to provide each time-synchronized sensor with a unique address so data derived from the synchronized measurements can be processed individually by a processing unit. The processing unit measures a response of the structure by means of averaging each individual data.
